6 Step Weight Loss Approved Recipes

Category 1

Curried Okra


16 oz cut okra
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp garlic paste
1/4 tsp tumeric powder
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp ground corriander
1 tsp salt
1 medium tomato, diced
3 tbsp oil
1/2 lemon, juiced

Heat oil in pot and sate onions until transparent. Add the okra stirring frequently. Cook under med-high for 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients except for the lemon. Lower burner to medium. Allow to cook for another 25-30 minutes until okra is soft and no longer sticky. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice and turn off. Allow to sit five minutes before serving.
May be served with 6-Step roti (see recipe in this book, each roti counts as one Category 2).
